Mike Butterfield Appointed Interim CEO

We would like to extend our gratitude to Mike Butterfield for stepping up to fill the vacant post at the helm of RYA Cymru Wales, our Governing Body. Mike is appointed as the Interim CEO of RYA Cymru Wales and a copy of the Notice issued by RYA Cymru Wales is repeated below.

Mike is an International Race Officer, a member of Pwllheli Sailing Club  and a regular at our events.

Notice of Appointment of Interim CEO by RYA Cymru Wales

Following the untimely death of former CEO Phil Braden, Michael Butterfield has been appointed as temporary RYA Cymru Wales CEO with effect from 1^st March 2019, and until such time as when a new, permanent, full-time appointment can be made.

As Mike is currently Chair of RYA Cymru Wales, for governance purposes a Senior Independent Director has been appointed - Brian Oulton - who can be contacted as necessary or if there is concern about the CEO.
