Andrew and Sam Hall, Thomas Tudor, Nick Butterworth, and Chris Jones from Pwllheli Sailing Club are joined by Mark Bolger (Cork) and Fabio Galea (Malta). We wish them fair winds and a safe, fast race.
The race can be followed on the YB Tracker - use this link -
The race starts from Lanzarote's capital Arrecife. All boats must round a turning mark off Puerto Calero before heading into the Atlantic Ocean and westwards then to Antigua.
The fleet is composed of cutting-edge monohulls, high-performance multihulls, performance cruisers and smaller offshore racers. Crew representing 19 nations from around the world will be racing with a wide range of goals, targets and ambitions.
I am sure that many of us will be following their every move with great interest.

While many boats are out of the water for winter storage, some of our racing crews are still at it!

Plas Heli has just completed works to Training Room 1 - dedicated to, and known as 'Ystafell Richard Tudor'.

This investment will enhance the customer experience in using this room for meetings, lessons and interviews.
This room is used throughout the week with Mother and Babies on Monday, Welsh lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday, and with regular community meetings, interviews, and much more, including CHPSC general meetings.
As part of this refurbishment, Plas Heli has added a run of useful storage cupboards. These have also been added to Room 3.
With this new storage capacity Plas Heli is now able to refurbish the former office which will be used as another meeting room to meet the increasing demand for meeting rooms.
See more about this meeting room with a variety of photos showing meeting room configurations here
