

This weekend 5th and 6th July Plas Heli Hosts the ILCA Welsh National Championships with a spectacular 61 Entered.

The Summer Series is designed for everyone to enjoy the sailing in the bay during the warmer summer months. A date in the diary, a cruise around the bay with an objective. Scoring will therefore use the YTC handicap for cruisers which is available to everyone free of charge (more information of how to obtain a handicap is in the SSI document below). Racing, over four weekends, deliberately consists of longer legs so that those with limited or younger crew can also enjoy the racing. Dates of the series and times are as follows:

Tuning Weekend with racing in the bay
A chance to test the running rigging and tune up alongside other boats and discuss issues with other skippers and crews in Plas Heli.
Saturday - One long bay race run in conjunction with a ISORA Coastal race - a chance to warm up for the season starting with some longer legs. Warning signal approximately 12:30 (HW 14:45)
Sunday - 2 light hearted races to enable a tune up alongside other boats. Warning Signal approximately 13:30 (HW 16:44)

Coastal races are run as part of the Tuning Weekend, Easter Series, Spring Series and Summer Series plus one in mid August.
Results for each of the 5 races will be compiled into a stand alone Coastal Series.
