80 members and guests gathered at Plas Heli for our winter party and prize giving, which replaced our traditional Christmas Ball this year. Although a less formal affair, we enjoyed some excellent tapas by El Chiringuito of Pwllheli, and roast pork and salads by Y Dyn Cig of LLanrug. Cheesecake and cheeses followed, with diners enjoying the sounds of great blues and jazz played by the Kirk Ward trio.
Prize giving followed, with our worthy winners of 2021 receiving their trophies, with two special awards his year, the first to Robin Evans and Brian Metcalf for their work running the PSC bridge, and the final award of the evening , a lifetime contribution award presented to Richard Tudor marking his incredible voluntary work over the years at the club, and for his ongoing contribution to the world of sailing, and encouragement to those youngsters starting their sailing journey.
Afterwards dancing until late to the excellent Jac Dobson a'r band .

The forecast looks encouraging, and lets hope champagne conditions return, such as those in the photographs below of winter series weekend 1, when a big fleet turned out for a great day on the waterPlas Heli Bar - Interim service.We hope to publish some limited opening hours for the bar soon, which will most likely be early Friday and Saturday evenings, and potentially some dates around Christmas and the New Year. This limited service will be run by volunteers and managed collaboratively by the Flag Officers of CHPSC and Director's of Plas Heli. Once this is finalised, we will publish the information on the website .
