August News Update

Pwllheli Regatta - The results of the racing and parade of boats is available here. Congratulations to Quango, Luvly Jubbly and Just Enough. There was a prize giving during the Regatta Party which included a presentation for the King Constantine Cup and the Celtic Regatta. Full results and details on the Racing Page of the web site.

We would like to thank all of the sponsors who donated gifts and the volunteers who organised the shore side activities and games. A total of £470 was raised and this will be donated to North Wales Air Ambulance, CLIC Sargent Charity and CHIPAC.

Galley - Due to a family bereavement there is a restriction on galley menus for the next week.

A limited selection from the normal menu will be available for the normal opening hours of 1800 hrs to 2100 hrs (BUT only until 1930hrs on Saturday - see party below).

Breakfast service is available from this Friday (0830 to 1000hrs) until further notice.

There is a party this weekend - It's Stephen Tudor's 50th birthday - you are all welcome - at the Club from 1930hrs - featuring a choice of curries with the usual extras. A Disco has been arranged. All welcome. Croeso i Pawb.

Choice of Curries with the usual extras only £7.50, but this evening from 1930 at a special reduced price of £2.50 for the first 60 customers, on a strictly first come first served basis. Non curried food also available.

Events and Championships - The Topper Nationals last week was a great success with 372 competitors and 91 on-the-water helpers. A superb effort by all.

We received a visit from Laura McAllister, Sport Wales, during the Topper Championship and you can read all about the visit here.

Our senior race management team are in Weymouth this week helping with the Sail4Gold event, a trial run for the 2012 Olympics. You can follow the action on the PSC Event Blog

The next event is the 29ers and 49er next week.

Motor Boaters - there is an overnight trip to Aberystwyth this weekend, leaving Saturday 14th and returning Sunday 15th (weather depending). Briefing in the club at 8.30pm, Friday evening. Racing this Weekend - Abersoch Regatta racing for keel boats from 1400hrs. (PYS @1400hrs and IRC @1500hrs.)
