and a search team was mobilised in the sailing club at 9.30. At 10.03 the search was started and at 10.27 a call went to the coastguard requesting support from the RNLI as the dummy had still not been found.

The lifeboat Lily and Vincent Anthony and the inshore lifeboat was then launched . At 10.55 the dummy was located in the water by Ashleigh,Carwyn , Mathew and James. The dummy had been left 1 mile due East of Carreg yr Imbill, and was located approx 1.2 miles due South of West End 2 hours later. Further practice then took place at sea to exchange casualities from the ribs to the lifeboats.

12 members of the CHIPAC instructor team took part in very challenging f6 easterly , bitterly cold conditions. 7 members of the team were under 21 and it was very satisfying to see the younger members of the team taking part in a safety exercise.Gareth Roberts the event manager was situated on the lifeboat in order for him to see the rescue from an RNLI perspective, which will again help the safety aspect on the events team.

A debrief will be held on Wednesday 16th so we can see what lessons were learnt, and to review our safety procedures.

PSC would like to thank Clive Moore and his RNLI  team for organising this valuable exercise, and to thank the coastguard for coordinating the exercise on Saturday Morning.
