Message to Club Members and Guests from Tony Barlow - Humming Bird 2
Good afternoon Commodore
May I through the medium of the club convey to the members an opportunity to add miles to their RYA log books and gain experience in offshore sailing while enjoying being on the water.
Four yachts (one of them mine Hummingbird 2) will leave Pwllheli on 15th June bound for the Channel Islands. They will visit the Scilly Isles on route and will take about a week to get there.
Two weeks will be spent in the Channel Islands hopefully visiting Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Sark and Herm.
The yachts will leave the Channel Islands to arrive back in Pwllheli on or around 14th July.
Members may join and leave at Pwllheli, Guernsey or Jersey taking part in one, two, three or all four weeks.
The voyage will include passages well within the requirement of qualifying passages for RYA certificates and there will be plenty of opportunity to practice navigation, pilotage and seamanship learned in the classroom, online and from books.
